Hello Silver Ridge families,

First, I hope that all the fathers and father figures out there had a day that made them feel special and loved. We sure appreciate you!

Secondly, as this year comes to a close, I am taking time to reflect on how we worked together as a team for our students' education. Friday was a perfect example of what we can do together. Field day and lunch on the lawn were so special because of the planning of our staff and the support of our community. I am grateful for the partnering you do with us in all iterations. I am already looking forward to our collaborations next year!

Early Dismissal Tuesday

Just a heads up, we have an 11:45 dismissal on Tuesday! There is no lunch served when students dismiss at 11:45.

The end of the year always brings farewells to those we have grown to care so much about. We are preparing ourselves to say farewell to fifth grade students and their families, students who are moving to other schools and their families, and staff who are moving on to other adventures.

Our beloved counselor, Aimee Spencer, is taking a leap and applying herself toward being an administrator. We will truly miss her and wish her the best adventures in this next chapter!

We have several other dear staff you may know who are also moving on for various reasons. They are:

Donna Guise (Psychologist)

Rachel Hejmanowski (Jump Start Kindergarten teacher)

Emily True (Jump Start assistant)

Micah Reidy (Speech and Language Pathologist)

Carmen Morgan (Behavior Specialist)

Mary Rogers (Special Education teacher)

Rylee Scheer (paraeducator)

Aleena Shoemaker-Smith (Special Education preschool teacher)

Mikki Kendrick (Special Education preschool assistant)

Angela Cook (long term substitute for Ms. De La Cruz)

Leanna De La Cruz (teacher)

Colleen Howard (paraeducator)

Jenna Ask (food services)

We wish everyone the very best in what is to come!

Dr. Seuss’s quote, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened,” relays how lucky we were to have those who are leaving us and how bittersweet our goodbyes are!

Report Cards

As a reminder, we're switching to electronic-only report cards for all schools this June. We will no longer mail or send report cards home with students.

Learn more about the switch and how to access electronic report cards at CKschools.org.

Lost and Found

Please check lost and found this week and/or encourage your child to. We are putting all lost and found outside on Monday and Tuesday. Please look through as we are going to donate anything left at the end of the day on Tuesday.

All medication will need to be picked up between June 18 and June 21 (we are closed on June 19), anything left after June 21 will be disposed of. Please contact our nurse with any questions at [email protected]

I hope you have a fabulous summer!

Thank you for all that you do; together we do great things!

Tina Piper, Principal
